1kx is a global crypto investment firm that specializes in ecosystem growth. Our team comprises technical operators and strategic thinkers who work closely with our portfolio of 90+ companies, with the goal of being the most founder-friendly and helpful source of capital.

We are a fully remote team with colleagues across North America, Europe, and Asia. This role reports to our Partner leading our institutional & platform activities, who is based in Switzerland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and organized individual to oversee our community initiatives & events, grow our ecosystem, and best support the 90+ projects in our global portfolio. The right candidate will take an ownership mentality around our events, from externally facing ecosystem gatherings like DInfra Day and Autonomous Worlds Summit to flagship network events like our Founders and LP Summits. They will play a key role in helping us to deepen the connections within the portfolio, across the web3 ecosystem, and beyond. Please note that this role will involve travel due to the global nature of the events.

What you offer:

  • 3+ years of work experience in a platform, ecosystem, or strategic operations role, preferably within the startup or venture capital industry
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, partners, speakers and /or juggling complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong ownership mentality and entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on execution
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to be super productive working independently as part of a remote, globally distributed team
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, including Google Suite, Trello, Notion, Figma, and events management tools. Experience is not necessarily required, but a willingness and ability to learn is.
  • Familiarity with the crypto & web3 industry and / or broader venture and startup ecosystem would be a plus.

What you’ll do:

  • Events strategy and execution: Be the driving force behind our events strategy, from planning to execution. Design event themes, agendas, and formats that appeal to target audiences and stakeholders. Conduct research on industry trends and competitor events to create unique and impactful experiences. Manage vendor and partner relationships, as well as event invite systems.
  • Community and network engagement: Foster a sense of community within our network of portfolio companies and partners through thoughtful event curation and engagement strategies. Facilitate connections and knowledge sharing across the ecosystem, including maintenance of resource hub, communication channels, and related initiatives.
  • Platform operations: Support our team across platform initiatives, from day-to-day portfolio support requests and internal and external data management to contributing to special projects & new initiatives across the firm as required.
  • Be data-driven: Measure and define success in terms of how events and community initiatives contribute to our brand, deal flow, and portfolio support.
